i Light Singapore 2019

Hello! Have you visited the i Light Singapore 2019 event yet? If you have not, I would recommend you to go! I just came back from that event and I had lots of funnnnnnnn! 😄

Since the lights will only start lighting up at 7.30pm, I met up with my friend at Clarke Quay station for dinner first... We only started visiting some of the display areas at around 8pm. As there are a total of 31 light installations and 1 multimedia show, we did our homework and shortlisted some... Well, most of the displays I would say! Haha!

So, off we go to search for this white ball~

Oh! For those of you who have not attend this event before, this event runs from 28 January to 24 February from 7.30pm to 11pm (12am on Friday and Saturday nights)... And the admission (for most displays) is free! The map of the displays is here

We started off with displays #30 to #32 first (they were along the path from Clarke Quay station to the Raffles Terrace) since they were the only 3 displays that were quite away from the rest... Refer to map for the direction. 😉

Display #30 Land-pass Birds

Seriously we were there for a good 5 minutes (on top of the photo-taking time) trying to figure out the shape of a bird... We could see any other animals (like monkeys, frogs, etc) but not birds! 😅

Hence, we have decided to move on to the next display... Haha!

Display #31 Keys of Light

This is an interactive piano installation; someone plays the piano and there will be lights being displayed! We were lucky that there's a couple playing the piano, so I quickly videoed this down!

After that we continued to visit the last place in that area before moving to the other area, and it is our favourite among the three!

Display #32 Reflecting Holons

I could stay here all night watching these 'bubbles' bouncing! It's so pretty till we both didn't feel like leaving this place... We were there for a good 10 minutes since there was no one there disturbing us anyway! Hahahaha!

The next area we visited has most of the displays we wanted to see... Moving down from the Raffles Terrace, we immediately saw this:
Display #29 Constructive Interference

The next few displays are just along the way, so we took a stroll since the weather wasn't too bad... Not long after the display #29, we saw this:

Display #28 Run Beyond

It's an animation of a guy running (watch video below)! But the colours under the bridge caught my attention (and my heart) more! Hahahaha!

The animation was a fast and short one... And so, we quickly moved on to the next few displays...

Display #27 Good Fortune

Display #26 With a View

This display #26 gave me an optical illusion feel... It felt like the bottom part of the windows were moving! Anyway, colourful stuff is ♡. Haha!

Display #25 Bridges of Time was a 10-minute animation show. I took a video of it but the file size far exceeded the video size limit allowed. Hence, I can't load this video here... 😭

For the rest of the displays, I will let the photos do the talking... Haha!

Display #24 Where do stories begin / Where do stories end

Display #23 Cenotaph for a Stone

Display #22 Time Rhythm

For display #22, I took a video of it instead. However due to the size limit of the video, I am unable to upload to this post!

Display #21 HALO

Display #20 Time Frame

Display #19 Oriflammes

Display #18 The Cat in the Garden

Display #17 Flower Clock

So folks! If you have nothing to do these few days, hop down to (at least some of) these places and enjoy the light displays! You won't regret one lah! It's free anyway! 😆
