Singapore Bicentennial Exhibition

Hello everyone~

This year (2019) marks the 200th year of Sir Stamford Raffles' arrival in Singapore. So, have you visited the Singapore Bicentennial exhibition yet? It has been extended till end of December this year!

It's free for citizens! Book your tickets here.

And yay! I did it last month! Thanks to my friend who went to register for the tickets in the month of June!

Singapore Bicentennial @ Fort Canning

This exhibition will bring all visitors back in time to witness the key moments in Singapore's transformation from year 1299.
There are a total of five acts and the whole show takes about 1-hour to finish.

Oh! Don't worry, that 1-hour will be in an aircon room... If that's your main concern... Haha!

Anyway, there's no photos from those five acts since I was there to enjoy and experience the 'moment'. All I can say is, I'm very impressed by the whole experience thingy. If you think this 'history lesson' is going to be boring, I can guarantee you that it wouldn't be! Just go with an open mind, observe the animations, the lightings, etc. You'll be amazed (at the very least by how technology has improved to make boring stuff not-so-boring)!

After the 1-hour show, we went to visit the different exhibitions outside (no more aircon areas).

This Chinese map is super cool!
You can see the Chinese words clearly only if you put your hand behind!

Overall, it was an enjoyable and pleasant session for me! I get to experience things like hearing the siren and bombing while you're hiding inside the bomb shelter, 'attending' the first (rainy) NDP when Singapore gained independence, etc. Totally impressed by the animations.

Good job to the organiser(s) and the team working on this exhibition! 👍👍👍
