iPoh Trip

Image
First time heading over to iPoh and unsure of what to do there? Ever heard from friends, family, or colleagues telling you that there's nothing much to do in iPoh? I will recommend some of the good places (in my opinion) in iPoh I've been to and some places are highly recommended by the locals there.  I travelled (with a friend) to iPoh over the long weekends in August and that was our first time there too. Despite being our first time there, we went there without much planning.  #yolo  Yups, I know. HAHA! We walked over to the JB custom (yes walked because of the crazy traffic jam - both humans and vehicles), and we drove up to iPoh at around 9am. It was a crazy morning to begin with, but when we were at JB, the traffic improved. It took us a total of eight hours to drive from JB to iPoh, with three resting points in between.  Such beautiful scenery from our car! Breath-taking right? By the time we reached there, it was already evening. Hence, we headed to ou

Singapore Bicentennial Exhibition

Hello everyone~  This year (2019) marks the 200th year of Sir Stamford Raffles' arrival in Singapore. So, have you visited the Singapore Bicentennial exhibition  yet? It has been extended till end of December this year!  It's free for citizens! Book your tickets here . And yay! I did it last month! Thanks to my friend who went to register for the tickets in the month of June!  Singapore Bicentennial @ Fort Canning This exhibition will bring all visitors back in time to witness the key moments in Singapore's transformation from year 1299.  There are a total of five acts and the whole show takes about 1-hour to finish.  Oh! Don't worry, that 1-hour will be in an aircon room... If that's your main concern... Haha!  Anyway, there's no photos from those five acts since I was there to enjoy and experience the 'moment'. All I can say is, I'm very impressed by the whole experience thingy . If you think this 'history lesson' is going

Rakki Bowl + Cake Spade

Hello readers! Sorry for not updating for the past 4 months! Have been really really busy lately! I promise I will update this blog more often now...  Let's start from the month of July!  Was celebrating one of my friends' birthday, and we went to this new Japanese eating place introduced by my colleague (who is also a foodie) - Rakki Bowl.     Rakki Bowl     72 Duxton Road      Singapore 089531      Opening Hours:     12 PM  to 10 PM  (daily)      How to get there:     Tanjong Pagar station exit A     Follow map for the direction (just a 5-minutes walk) There were a total of four of us, and it was such a coincidence that we all wanted the same two mains. Thus, we ordered two of the following each: Mentaiko Salmon Don (Medium) If you're a fan of half-cooked salmon and mentaiko, this is the right main for you! The amount of salmon is generous! And the mentaiko sauce is yummy (it can be a little overwhelming if you don't eat together with the r

OCD Cafe

The weather these few weeks are like super duper warm! Wouldn't it be shiok to have some icy drinks or ice-cream right? How about visiting the  Obsessive Chocolat Desire  (OCD) cafe ?    Obsessive Chocolat Desire (OCD) Cafe    529 Ang Mo Kio Ave 10, #01-2353    Singapore 560529     Opening Hours:     Mon to Thur: 12pm to 10pm    Fri to Sat: 12pm to 1am    Sun: 2pm to 10pm     How to get there:    From Ang Mo Kio station, take bus 256     Map on how to walk from Block 555 Of course, there's a few buses that can reach there... But I recommend bus 256 as it has the least amount of walking distance... Especially on a very hot day... Haha! Went there with two of my friends on a super hot Saturday after lunch, and it was quite crowded. Well, actually the cafe itself is quite small lah ... Haha!  Our (shared) waffle ice-cream A closer look of the waffle ice-cream We wanted to get the sesame waffle, but it was sold out. So we got the origi
